Hyperopia ("Far-Sightedness")
Those with far-sightedness see better in the distance than they do up close. This can affect people of any age and in milder forms, a simple prescription for near tasks like reading is all that is required. For the very far-sighted, even the distance may be blurry and so glasses or contacts are needed all the time. Laser eye surgery is a trickier procedure when trying to fix hyperopia yet can often work quite well. Unfortunately, far-sighted people will experience blurry vision up close ("presbyopia") earlier and may even result in distance blur that was not there before.
